Jotkut niistä väistyvät ja jotkut toteutuvat, jotkut toteutuvat toisille
Kulkevat mukanamme päivän jos toisenkin.

Tähdet ovat jotain mikä on aina olemassa mutta samalla ne ovat tosi kaukana.
Toisaalta voi hyvinkin olla että ne putoavat juuri tänne. Miksei se voi olla todellista? Saahan sitä haaveilla. Ja onhan yksi niistä sentään vähän lähempänä.
Aloin koota tätä näyttelyä kaikesta mitä on viime aikoina tullut maalattua ja runoiltua. Löysin muun muassa yhden maalauksen jossa oli Kiinan lipun näköinen joulupallo. Runoja menetyksestä ja hauskoja runoja. Monet teoksistani kertovat jollain tavalla unelmista. Jos tämä olisi elokuva niin Vesku Loiri näyttelisi siinä. Jos tämä olisi fantasiakirja niin siinä olisi tähtiportti. Jos tämä olisi seikkailu…
Olen tamperelainen kääntäjä – kuvataiteilija – kirjoittaja ja tämä on tavallaan ensimmäinen varsinainen yksityisnäyttelyni. Aiemmin töitäni on ollut esillä kirjastoissa ja auloissa sekä useissa ryhmänäyttelyissä. Kirjat ovat aina olleet lähellä sydäntäni, nuorena luin paljon varsinkin fantasiakirjallisuutta. Vaikka en alun perin päättänytkään alkaa taiteilijaksi, niin jostain syystä kuitenkin päädyin sellaiseksi.

Some of these give away and some come true, some come true to others

In the darkness of November we can enjoy watching the magical night sky.
Or an art exhibition!
Stars are something that are always there but in the same time they are very far away.
On the other hand it may well be that they fall just here. Why can’t it be true? But one can dream. And luckily one of them is a bit more closer to us.
I started to collect this exhibition out of everything that I have lately been painting and writing. I found for example one painting that included a Christmas bauble in the colours of China. Poems of loss, and fun poems. A lot of my art has to do with dreams. If this was a movie, then Vesku Loiri would act in it. If it were a fantasy novel, it would include a stargate. If it were an adventure…
I am a translator – visual artist – writer from Tampere and this is kind of my first official solo exhibition. Before I have had my art on show in libraries and lobbies and several group exhibitions. Books have always been close to my heart, when I was young I read a lot of books, especially fantasy novels. Even though I initially decided to become something else, I somehow ended up being an artist.
