Roll down to the basement of the Taiteen talo arts centre for a queer party organized by Kirjakahvila and Club Hävytön on Saturday August 13. The programme starts with a coffee meetup for nonbinary people, followed by live and dj music, a speech by disability activist Ninni Nuunu, and a queer feminist strip club.

The event is for ages 18 and up. Entrance fee according to your financial situation 0–20€.

Muunsukupuolisten kahvihetki on tapaaminen ihmisille, jotka kokevat sukupuolensa olevan jotain muuta kuin pelkkä nainen tai mies. Tapaamiseen voi tulla myös pohtimaan omaa sukupuoltaan. Tapaamisessa keskustellaan osallistujien itse esiin tuomista asioista rennossa hengessä. Kahvihetkeä fasilitoi muunsukupuolinen vetäjä, Joa. Keskusteluun osallistuminen on vapaaehtoista. Keskustelut ovat luottamuksellisia, mutta huomioithan, että tapaamispaikka on julkinen tila. Ei ilmoittautumista. Tervetuloa! // Coffee meetup for non-binary (/trans-) people is a meetup for people whose gender doesn’t fit the binary, i.e. who are not men or women. You are also warmly welcome to come to the meetup if you’re questioning your gender or aren’t sure. The meetup features a casual discussion on topics relating to non-binary gender, and you are welcome to bring up topics yourself! The discussion is facilitated by Joa, who is non-binary. Taking part of the conversation is voluntary. Conversations are confidential but be aware that Taiteen talo is a public space. Conversations are mostly in Finnish but the facilitators also speak English. No registration needed. Welcome!

Hävytön on queerfeministinen pop up -strippiklubi, joka pyrkii poistamaan seksityöhön liittyvää stigmaa ja jakamaan strippaamisen iloa kaikille sukupuolille ja suuntauksille tuomalla lavalle esiintyjiä sukupuolen koko kirjolta. Varaathan mukaan käteistä tanssijoiden tippaamiseksi; paikan päällä myydään myös tippiseteleitä. Illan mittaan on mahdollista ostaa sylitansseja. Maksuksi käy käteinen tai mobilepay. // Club Hävytön (eng: shameless) is a queer feminist pop up strip club. They aim to break down the stigma around sex work and spread the joy of striptease to all genders and orientations by filling the stage with performers from all across the gender spectrum. Sisäänkäynti on esteetön ja tilassa on esteetön, oikeakätinen wc. Oviaukoissa on kahden sentin kynnykset, mutta tilasta löytyy myös liikuteltava ramppi. Tila on kellarikerroksessa, mikä vaikuttaa ilmanlaatuun ilmastoinnista huolimatta. // The entrance is wheelchair accessible. The bathroom is right-handed and wheelchair accessible. The doorways have 2 cm high thresholds, but there’s a movable ramp on the premises. The event space is on the basement floor which affects the air quality, even though the space is air conditioned.

We follow a safer space policy and do not accept racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist or otherwise discriminatory behaviour.

Do not touch, stare, photograph or ask personal questions without consent.

Use the name and pronoun given by the person.

Avoid using scented products.

Be mindful of the people around you. Give way to people, and if you are taller than others watch the performances from further back if possible.
